You need a cumulative GPA of at least 2.00 to stay in good academic standing. Academic Warning applies below a 2.0 cumulative GPA. You are suspended only if both your term GPA falls below 2.2 and your cumulative GPA falls below the minimum for your hours earned — 1.50 up to 31 hours, 1.80 to 61, 1.90 to 91, and 1.97 beyond that.

Auburn's Grade Adjustment Policy lets you remove up to three D or F grades from your GPA and credit-hour count, with the original staying on your transcript. It is open only to students who enrolled Fall 2000 or later, excludes transfer credit and academic-honesty grades, and must be used before your degree is conferred. Be aware that graduate and professional schools may still recompute and use your unadjusted GPA.
Pass/fail grades and your GPA
As a junior or senior with at least a 2.5 GPA across 20 or more Auburn credit hours, you can take elective courses on an S-U basis, up to 12 credits at one course per term. You must finalise the choice by the 15th class day of a fall or spring term.
