Columbia College publishes no fixed GPA cutoff — Latin honors go to the top 25% of the graduating class by cumulative GPA. Any grade of D, F, or W during your time at the College makes you ineligible, as does an active academic-integrity sanction.
Dean's List
Columbia requires a term GPA of at least 3.60. You need 12 or more points of letter-graded coursework in the preceding term, with no grade of D, F, or W posted that term and no active academic-integrity sanction.
Good academic standing
You need a cumulative GPA of at least 2.00 to stay in good academic standing. You must maintain both a term GPA and a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0. Falling below in either can result in academic probation.
Pass/fail grades and your GPA
Columbia College's Pass/D/Fail option cannot be used for Core Curriculum courses. A grade of C− or higher converts to a P that does not affect your GPA, but a D or F earned under Pass/D/Fail still posts as-is and counts in your GPA.
Limits on D-grade credit
No more than 6 points of D credit can count toward your degree in a given academic year, and no more than 12 points cumulatively, out of the 124 points required to graduate.
